Nursdoc are actively seeking Care Support Workers to work with us at a Residential Supported Living service for individuals with learning difficulties and autism, based in Rotherham.
We are working in partnership with a leading mental health service, respected and known for their residential, hospital and community services throughout the UK. Due to increased demand, our client have on-going or adhoc agency bookings available!
This opportunity involves working closely with a new client within a setting dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised care. Our mission is to offer tailored support that emphasises the importance of independence, enhancing life skills, and improving both communication and social interactions. We aim to create a supportive and nurturing environment that focuses on the needs of individuals, ensuring their well-being.
Payrates:
- Day: £12.50 - £13.50
- Night: £13.50 - £14.50
- Weekends: £15.50 - £16.50
Hours:
- Adhoc/flexible weekly bookings
- Long day - 08.00 - 20.00
- Night - 20:00 - 08:00
The Ideal Candidate:
- 6 months professional experience in a UK Healthcare setting
- Hardworking, adaptable, and able to respond quickly to changes
- Show a passion for high quality individual and teamwork
- Hold a DBS (on the Update Service) or be willing to purchase a DBS through Nursdoc
- PMVA training is ideal
- Stoma care (preferred but not essential)
- Experience working with autism
Key Responsibilities:
- No personal care
- Provide essential support, including assistance with mobility and emergency basic life support, while adhering to safety protocols
- Deliver personal care with dignity, focusing on bathing, dressing, and grooming, and respecting individual preferences and needs
- Foster a supportive environment through meaningful engagement, social activities, and companionship
- Monitor and document individuals' health, ensuring clear and effective communication with all members of the healthcare support team
