CHILDRENS SUPPORT WORKER

Nursdoc are actively seeking a Young Persons Worker to work directly with young people on an individual or group basis to offer harm minimisation, support, advice and treatment around substance misuse.

This opportunity involves working within a setting dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised care in accordance with care plans, as well as working closely with external agencies such as CAMHS, Youth Justice and others to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 6 months professional experience in a UK Healthcare setting
• Hardworking, adaptable, and able to respond quickly to changes
• Show a passion for high quality individual and teamwork
• Hold a DBS (on the Update Service) or be willing to purchase a DBS through Nursdoc
• Experience with drug and alcohol addiction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide essential support, including assistance with mobility and emergency basic life support, while adhering to safety protocols
• Deliver personal care with dignity, focusing on bathing, dressing, and grooming, and respecting individual preferences and needs
• Foster a supportive environment through meaningful engagement, social activities, and companionship
• Monitor and document individuals' health, ensuring clear and effective communication with all members of the healthcare support team
