PALLIATIVE CARE ASSISTANT

Nursdoc are currently recruiting experienced Palliative Care Assistants to support a fantastic clinical team in a hospital setting in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. This opportunity involves working within palliative care, offering compassionate support to individuals during the most important stages of life.

We are looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a vital role in ensuring comfort, dignity, and emotional support for patients, working alongside a supportive and professional team.

Part-time or full-time – flexible to suit your availability.

The ideal candidate:

• 6 months professional experience in a UK Healthcare setting.
• Hardworking, adaptable, and able to respond quickly to changes.
• Show a passion for high quality individual and teamwork
• Hold a DBS (on the Update Service) or be willing to purchase a DBS through Nursdoc

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with core healthcare duties such as moving and handling and basic life support
• Provide personal care with dignity, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Help to ensure patient comfort through interaction, companionship, and emotional support
• Work as part of a collaborative team to support patients’ physical and emotional needs
